Subject	ignition timing bouncing

Message	Yesterday when I put the timing light to verify the ignition timing, I saw the timing mark bouncing all around the place. It was extremely random nothing consistant. My question to all of this is, besides stretch timing belt, what other things can cause this problem? I have been looking into a not too smoorh idle problem for a while now, like there is a small random intermitance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
